“That’s Weston for you!”

I just registered my daughter for summer swim lessons at the Weston Parks and Recreation Department to start later this month. I had trouble locating 47 Norfield Road because the mailbox actually says 48 Norfield Road and it’s on the wrong side of the road. When I told my friend about this “house” she exclaimed, “That’s Weston for you!”  The driver behind me must have been annoyed, but I was going speed limit and it’s foggy and raining hard! Anyway, there is still lots of space, so register today! Must go in person and bring a check made out to “Town of Weston”; they have applications, but you can download and fill it out ahead of time. It goes faster that way.

Other summer programs for kindergarteners and older children also coordinated by the Weston Parks and Recreation Department can be found here. If you missed registration this year, there’s always next year. We missed out on the Junior Eagle Summer camp.

Don’t forget there is free swimming at the Bisceglie Pond 7 days a week starting June 20th from 11:30 am – 6 pm for Weston residents and their guests.  There is a playground right there, as well.

Compo Beach has an awesome playground, as well, if your kids don’t want to swim and just want to play in the sand or go beachcombing for shells. During the summer, parking is $20 per day on weekends and $40 weekends through Labor Day. Weston residents can purchase a parking emblem for $220 for the entire season from Weston’s Town Hall.
