Chef Maddycakes

Chef Maddycakes

My preschooler, Mads, likes to help me bake and watch me cook. One time, she found a lemon cake recipe in her High Five magazine and showed it to me immediately. “I want to make this, mommy.” I had all the ingredients, except for the lemon, so I promised I would pick one up the next day. She has the memory of an elephant, so she asked where the lemon was kept as soon as we got home from school. Thus, the birth of Chef Maddycakes. I let her squeeze the lemon juice and help with the mixing. The cake came out very good, but very dense. We made it again a few days later with canola oil, instead of olive oil, and it was much better. Stay tuned for our favorite recipes. This also helps me remember them for future reference.

I love Chef Maddycakes! We should bake together one time. My 2yo loves to help in the kitchen too.
